Celebrating Halloween with Grandkids from a Distance

Whether you are a distance grandma or are maintaining a distance due to the current environment you can still celebrate Halloween with your grandkids.

Here are some ideas that will help you to be a part of a fun time in your grandkids' lives.

Carving Pumpkins with Grandkids In-Person or by Video is Fun for All

Schedule time for pumpkin carving together or ask to be included by video when pumpkin carving is happening in your grandkids' home.

Assemble a Halloween gift bag.  If you are within driving distance, deliver your gift bag to the grandkids' doorsteps.  Otherwise, mail or assemble a gift box to be delivered from Amazon. Including a small toy and a book in the box is ideal.

Schedule a time for you to see Halloween costumes modeled via video. If you have multiple grandkids in multiple locations a group video would be fun.  Then all the cousins can see each other's costumes. Join in the fun by wearing a costume, too!

Go through photos you have of your kids dressed in costumes for Halloween.  Share those pictures with your grandkids on a video call.  They will have fun looking at Mom or Dad when they were little and in costumes for Halloween.

Halloween is a fun time for the little ones in your life.  Make an effort to join the spooktacular fun.
